The Civic Center

Located between Parsons and Decaturville, the Civic Center serves the people of Decatur County in a number of ways. An
outside walking track winds around the playground area with up-to-date playground equipment. A pavilion with a number of
picnic tables is located adjacent to the playground area.

During the winter the Civic Center is open at scheduled times for walkers inside the building. Youth Pro Basketball for
grades 3 through 6 is available November through January. The swimming pool is open to the public during the summer
months of June through August.

The Civic Center is available for rent for events such as birthday parties, family reunions, church groups, swimming parties,
etc.

Current Programs Available

Karate Classes
Learn from one of the best Mr. Z
Classes are Wednesday & Friday nights 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Cost is $35.00 per person, per month

Walking Program
Walking inside the building is available Monday Through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.  We also have a walking program
that is run by the Decatur County Health Department on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings from 5:45 pm until 7:00
pm. Free aerobics classes are offered during that time as well.

Swimming Pool - Pool Parities - June-August
Daily pass:$3.00/day

Individual season pass: $45.00

Individual Senior Citizen season pass: $40.00

Family Season Pass - $150.00 for up to 4 immediate members and $25.00 ea extra member.

Reserve the pool for your next party! - only $75.00

3 hr Pool Parties are available in the evenings from 6:00 - 9:00 and includes a certified Lifeguard, Pavilion with tables and
chairs, and clean restrooms.

Jr. Pro Basketball

Youth Pro Basketball for grades 2 through 7 is available November through January.

Registration is $25.00 per person and includes a Game Tee Shirt.

Games are played on Saturday's from 10:00 am to 6:0 pm

Admission is $1.00 per person, if you are under 18 admission is free.

Other Available Facilities At The Civic Center

Public pavilion
The Civic Center's large Pavilion is available for rent for events such as birthday parties, family reunions, church groups,
etc. $30.00 half day or $50.00 for a full day.

Conference Room

Many ball teams, clubs, non profit organizations, and others make use of our public conference room.  Meetings must be
scheduled in advance and are offered on a first come first serve basis. Please contact the Parks Department office for a
schedule of available dates.

Multi Purpose Stage - With Dressing Rooms
The multi purpose stage at the civic center can be rented for beauty pageants  Christmas shows, plays, theater, etc.

Over head accent stage lighting is available, along with a dressing room with lockers for add convenience with plays,
theater, and other stage shows.

For Profit Rates: $100.00 for 3 hr minimum $17.50 for each additional hour
Non Profit Rates: $50.00 for 3 hr minimum $17.50 for each additional hour
Pavilion, with bathroom access by reservation $30.00 / 4 hours

Admission Rates for the Decatur County Pool:
Daily pass:$3.00/day
Individual season pass: $45.00
